Denver office teammates volunteered to help sort food donations for The Food Bank of the Rockies in early June. The team manned the reclamation area sorting frozen food. There they sorted 8,456 pounds of food accounting for 6,764 meals.
Three teammates from our Atlanta office participated in the Cornerstone Christian Academy Golf Tournament on May 2. This four-person scramble tournament at Rivermont Golf Club helped to raise money for the Cornerstone Christian Academy’s operating budget.
Several of our San Antonio team members attended the Family Violence Prevention Services/Battered Women’s Shelter Volunteer Appreciation Celebration on April 27.
Let’s get ready to rumble! On March 23rd, several San Antonio team members attended the 26th Annual Real Estate Council San Antonio – Fight Night. This black tie event attracted more than 1,000 industry peers as they watched (10) fellow industry members duke it out in the boxing ring.
On August 21st Catamount Atlanta served up Oreo Espresso Bean and Krispy Kreme Dream ice cream to patrons at Miss Mary’s Ice Cream Crankin’ event benefiting The Drake House. Drake House is a nonprofit that serves North Fulton homeless moms and their families. Our Oreo Espresso Bean was so delicious, we were recognized by The Food Groupies as their favorite ice cream!
On June 30th, the Catamount team raised $32,000 for Brent’s Place at its 4th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Hiwan Golf Club in Evergreen, Colorado. The EKS&H team won the tournament and team Fiore & Sons, which included two Catamount team members, Ben Lombardo and Allen Rutherford were the proud recipients of the Dead Last trophy. The funds raised by the tournament covers the cost associated with each of Brent’s Place apartments for 287 days (approximately $93 per day).
Several Catamount friends joined Team Some Nerve for the National MS Society – Colorado/Wyoming Chapter Bike MS event. For the 2016 ride Team Some Nerve raised $19,320 for the MS Society. Catamount has been proud to sponsor the team for the past three years to help them raise over $72,000! Thank you to our donors for their contributions and to the riders for enduring the 2-day, 160-mile ride!
Twenty Catamount volunteers recently spent the afternoon volunteering at Primarily Primates, a non-profit sanctuary that provides lifetime care and housing for homeless, abused and abandoned animals. In addition to volunteering on-site, the Catamount office raised funds through various activities including a Pie in the Face event. These funds were used to sponsor and provide toys to two special chimpanzees: Deeter and Justin.
Catamount volunteers from the Atlanta division wrapped presents, helped with shopping and carried presents to cars for the annual week-long event. Holiday House provides nearly 75 families the opportunity to shop for new clothes, toys, and other household belongings for their children, some of which have never had a new coat or shoes. All items are donated by the community and with the aid of a personal shopper volunteer, parents pick out gifts for their children.
Several Catamount Employees in San Antonio spent their afternoon cooking lunch, cleaning common areas, decorating for the holidays and handing out toys to children living in the Fisher House at Lackland Air Force Base. The San Antonio Staff raised $870 which Catamount matched. The funds were used to buy amazing gifts for the kids including bikes, scooters, legos, action figures and dolls.
