Catamount Constructors, Inc. recently completed Grana Pizza, the $1.9 million, two-story renovation and build-out of a 9,532 square foot pizzeria and Neapolitan Italian restaurant in the heart of Atlanta, GA.
We installed new kitchen equipment (including two wood-fired pizza ovens), millwork, a new HVAC system, electrical distribution, and new plumbing fixtures. The restaurant has high end finishes including tile and carpet flooring, ceilings, and light fixtures. Our experienced retail team also completed a mezzanine and a rooftop patio with views of Downtown Atlanta to enjoy.
With short term projects such as Grana, it’s important for us, as the general contractor, to deliver in a timely fashion. Because of that, we must have certain items in place before construction starts. For example, on this project, working on the retrofit of an existing shell building, it was imperative to have coordination between the existing structure and the design of the new Italian restaurant. Structural Steel design had to be coordinated and procured before we could get started on anything else.
Even with a quick turn-around, Grana Pizza was unable to celebrate their grand opening in March like they had hoped due to COVID-19. We were able to try some of their pizza and “homemade pasta kits” and support the great team at Grana!
We are extremely grateful to have played a part in this beautiful restaurant in Atlanta, GA. Be sure to stop by for dine-in or takeout and have a slice of Neapolitan pizza!
